HOW CRISKITS WORKS

Chores and pocket money should be simple enough that everyone knows where they stand.

Here is the complete step-by-step cycle from setting the first chore to settling the monthly outcome.

1

Set monthly pocket money and rules

Parents set a monthly base amount (e.g. £20 or £40) and simple completion tiers. For example: 80% completion awards 100% of the allowance, while 60% awards 75%.

💡The rules are agreed upfront and visible to everyone, eliminating month-end surprises.
2

Create recurring or one-off chores

Add repeating weekly tasks (like emptying the dishwasher or feeding pets) and spontaneous one-off jobs (like washing the car). Assign simple points to reflect the effort required.

💡Chores populate cleanly into the active month without complicated scheduling.
3

Kids do the work and submit

Children log in on their phone or tablet, see what needs doing today, and mark completed jobs ready for review. They can add a short note if anything needs explaining.

💡Designed to feel clean and respectful for teens and younger kids alike.
4

Quick parent review

Parents see submitted work in a fast, dedicated review queue. Approve with one tap, or choose “Needs another go” with a friendly note on what needs fixing. Approved chores count towards their progress. Excusing a chore removes it fairly from the total without penalty.

💡Takes less than two minutes from your kitchen counter.
5

Track progress all month long

Criskits dynamically calculates current completion percentages and projected pocket money as work is approved. Both parent and child see exactly what they are on track to receive.

💡No more “How much pocket money am I getting this week?”
6

Close the month & record payment

At the end of the month, Criskits calculates the final pocket-money amount from the chores the parent has approved. Once the parent pays the pocket money outside Criskits, they can record it as paid.

💡Criskits tracks the outcome; you keep full control of your family’s money.

A note on how money works in Criskits

Criskits is a household organisation tool and pocket-money calculator. We calculate and record allowance outcomes transparently, but Criskits doesn’t hold or move your money.

Criskits works out and records the pocket-money amount. You pay it outside Criskits in whatever way works for your family. Once paid, the parent simply records it in Criskits to settle the month.
